Go from this to this
Included
*Selective color [sorry for Psp user, just Ps]
*Curves



Ok, first of all, resize and crop your icons. I didn't sharp my and no screen layer.

Here your base

Duplicate your layer and fill it with yellow - I've used this [#ffff40]. Set on soft light


Now, go to Layer, new adjustmen Layer, selective color
REDS
cyan: -100
magenta: +100
yellow: +100
black: +0

YELLOWS
cyan: -29
magenta: +38
yellow: -32
black: +17

NEUTRALS
cyan: +100
magenta: +15
yellow: +12
black: 0



Another Selective color
REDS
cyan: -70
magenta: +30
yellow: +35
black: +0

YELLOWS
cyan: -21
magenta: 0
yellow: +23
black: 0

NEUTRALS
cyan: +42
magenta: -20
yellow: -20
black: 0



Again...Another Selective color
REDS
cyan: -100
magenta: +22
yellow: +24
black: +0

YELLOWS
cyan: -50
magenta: 0
yellow: 0
black: 0



Now, go to Layer, New Adjustement Layer -> Curves
RGB
I: 119 - O: 136


RED
I: 115 - O: 126


GREEN
I: 113 - O: 125


BLUE
I: 120 - O: 141




If you want, now duplicate the layer and set it on screen -> 25%

You're done

Yayyy...I'm so glad that you post here your result...I really love your icons...I think this tutorial is avaible just for a type of images...and your is perfect|! XD

Aww, thank you! And you are right, this tut is for only a certain type of image, and I just happened to find the perfect one. But then again, it needs some tweaking too. If I remember correctly, I added in a couple of softlight layers and a hue+sat to take away some of the green. But anyways, thanks!

It's nice, altough the there is a lot of yellow in it. But maybe with some SC i could remove it when i want.

I really hate PS, but Selective color are the best...u can make every color you like...and I want to make another one...so, I really love yellow, but generally people leave it...so, u can do anything XD

Hey. I came over from Fan Forum. I've never seen 'selective coloring' before so i'm totally confused.

when you say add adj layer reds, yellows, neutrals...do you mean add 3 layers - 1 for each? Or are you creating a selective color somewher mixing the three and then adding the layer?

Ok, well...after your soft light layer u have to go on Layer -> new Adjustament layer -> Selective color.
Then add my options [red, yellow, neutrals]
Make ok and repeat again with the other options.
If u really don't understand tell me, and I'll make a caps for know u best!

i wanna try this - i have PS but i SUCK at it and i want to learn selective color - i like this one but i think its alot to start off with. do u have any coloring for say a nice pink face - red lips blue eyes maybe, something to just bring out the natural colors - maybe for pb or went? thanks hun.

Ok hun...I've used this tutorial...I've changed some parts, but maybe it can be good...just play with curves of course...and I don't make the Brightness/contrast part, and solid color part
